Birds are sometimes trivialized, only valued for their aesthetic beauty or song. However, they are so much more than beautiful; they are essential and sentient beings. Through my lens, I attempt to enter into the world of birds, not only their  environments, but also their interior worlds – their thoughts, feelings, and relationships. What is it like to live in the world of birds? What is important to them? Why are they important to us? My intent is not to intrude, but to enter carefully, the sacred realm of their space.
